Andragogical Concept
Knowles in Piet Sahertian and Purwoko (1996: 22) states: Andragogy is the science and art of helping adults to learn effectively. Furthermore, according to Piet Sahertian and Purwoko (1996: 25): In the process of educating adults, maturation or development that aims to change the dependent (dependent) into independent properties. The adult is satisfied with his own work, he demands treatment in his status as an adult. Based on that status change, the adult in the learning process is not happy when he is treated, directed as a child.
2. Application of Andragogical Concepts
Piet Sahertian and Purwoko (1996: 27) stated: Since the source of learning is the adult itself, then the problem is how to use techniques that pave the way for adults to learn effectively it is necessary to undertake learning activities themselves, such as: discussion, analyzing cases, simulations, role-playing, field practice, work-out exercises, seminars and workshops.
3. Author’s Opinion
The lessons that were carried out in this study were adult learning. The application of the concept of andragogy in this study is very urgent to obtain optimal learning outcomes. So the types of activities undertaken are supervisors are the kinds of activities that can help teachers escape from the habit dependent (dependent) to be independent (independent). So activities that take the form of: practical work, presentations, discussions, feedback, and so on are the strategy choices implemented in this action research
